The Faulty Pleasurebot by Lawrence Pearce. I wanted to show another example of a writer putting out some free work. “The Faulty Pleasurebot” runs along the lines of Blade Runner. A future earth dominated by flashy electronics and androids.
While I have a hard time reading from an android’s perspective (my logical brain fights with the premise that they can even understand feelings to know how to express them), I found that Lawrence did a remarkable job getting the reader to explore the human condition, through the eyes of C.A.S.S.
I will try and look for more examples and post mini-reviews of them as well.
And Lawrence, thanks for the good read.
